  • CEO & PRESIDENT

    Evan Welbourn is the President, and Founder of SBRO Properties, with over 30 years of experience leading large-scale commercial real estate portfolios. He has held senior leadership roles at TrizecHahn Office Properties, where he oversaw Western Canadian operations, and at Canderel, where he drove growth through development and leasing.

    His track record includes managing more than 7 million square feet of office space across four cities, developing over 500,000 square feet of retail and industrial space, and overseeing landmark projects such as Calgary’s Bankers Hall West Tower. As both a property owner and developer, Evan brings strategic vision, operational expertise, and a passion for well-run buildings to every SBRO project.

    Alec McColm is a real estate executive with over 35 years of related experience in property management, financial reporting, and operational oversight. He has held senior roles with Brookfield, CBRE, Allied Properties, and Opus, where he managed diverse commercial portfolios and implemented best-in-class reporting frameworks that improved performance and investor confidence.

    Since joining SBRO in 2022, Alec has been recognized for his hands-on, detail-oriented approach. He blends on-the-ground operational knowledge with disciplined financial oversight, ensuring each asset meets both immediate performance goals and long-term strategic objectives.

  • GENERAL MANAGER

    Anca Mocan is a seasoned operations leader with a strong background in law, property management, and tenant relations. Trained as a lawyer, her operational expertise spans large-scale, multinational commercial portfolios across Europe. She brings sharp legal insight to service-provider negotiations, compliance, and risk management.  

    At SBRO, Anca combines her legal acumen with strategic vision and a commitment to tenant satisfaction. She has led complex rehabilitation projects, streamlined management processes, and built trusted partnerships with owners and investors, making her an invaluable driver of SBRO’s operational excellence.

  • Having spent over 20 years operating large institutional property plant and equipment before joining SBRO, Warren brings a razor sharp focus on safety, efficiency and sustainability to building operations and management.

    With over 3 decades experience  in building maintenance,  Warren takes a proactive approach , using  a combination of  stakeholder engagement and consultation with subject matter experts to help provide the best possible solutions to all aspects of operations at SBRO Properties .
